The mission at Basic Green Cleaning Service, in addition to creating healthy indoor environments, is to increase awareness and appreciation of the outdoor environment.

The Lands End trails are one of the less traveled reserves of the Bay Area—and helping keep them clean is the best way to honor them.

Starting at 9 am on Saturday, April 23rd, Basic Green Cleaning Services San Francisco will lead a group of volunteers on a trash pick-up hike of the Lands End trails. Lands End is San Francisco’s wildest and rockiest coast. Lands End trails include a cliff-top walk through shadowy cypress with scenic overlooks of 30-miles coastline and foot access to several shoreline pocket beaches.

“Our mission at Basic Green Cleaning Services, in addition to creating healthy indoor environments for our clients, is to increase awareness and appreciation of the outdoor environment,” said Corey Griffin, owner of Basic Green Cleaning Services. “The Lands End trails are one of the less traveled reserves of the Bay Area—and helping keep them clean is the best way to honor them.”

Basic Green Cleaning Services is a strong supporter of Earth Day Network. From greening schools to hosting town hall discussions on clean energy investment and green jobs, the Green Day Network promotes thousands of Earth Day events and actions worldwide each year. To catalyze global environmental activism, Earth Day Network chose “A Billion Acts of Green” as the theme for Earth Day 2011.

At over 40 million actions to date, A Billion Acts of Green–the largest environmental service campaign in the world–inspires and rewards simple individual acts and larger organizational initiatives that further the goal of measurably reducing carbon emissions and supporting sustainability. The goal is to register one billion actions in advance of the global Earth Summit in Rio in 2012.
