Absolute Rights, the freedom fighting rights protectors, has published an article on the recent developments from an American-made anti-Muslim film, and the violent reaction out of the Middle East.

The situation arises from a controversial film that Young says is at the base of a freedom of speech issue, and may threaten that overall right for Americans.

“Regardless what you think of the film 'Innocence of Muslims,' it keeps stirring up riots and discussion around the world,” Young wrote. “In Iran, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the film was bad and against freedom of speech (as if he allows free speech in Iran anyway) and in Pakistan, one of their government ministers has offered a $100,000 reward for anyone who kills the filmmaker.”

That’s not all, says Young, as violence and outcry has yet to cease.

“In case you were wondering, riots continued over the weekend throughout the Middle East,” said Young, “keeping the conversation about free speech in America going... Will liberals react and take your rights away? I'm willing to bet that they will before this is all over.”

A frequent critic of the current administration, Young often asks readers to comment if they believe the country is headed in the right direction or not.

Tim Young, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, joined Absolute Rights in the spring of 2012 and brought his brutally honest opinions with him.
