The combination of Texas being viewed as a stronghold and taken for granted by the National Republican Party and the population shift in the state will turn this red state blue.
Austin, TX (PRWEB) May 23, 2012
According to an interview conducted by Tim Young, Managing Editor of Absolute Rights, with the Texas GOP Chairman Steve Munisteri, Texas will become a blue state in less than 10 years.
Munisteri told Young that the current minority population in Texas will become the majority in just a few short years. Calculating the voting record of all ethnicities in the State, it will become statistically impossible for a Republican Presidential Candidate to win Texas by the 2020 election…and maybe sooner, said Munisteri.
This issue is complicated by the fact that the Republican National Committee takes nearly 100 times as much money out of the State of Texas for campaigns as it puts into it: $41 million to $400,000.
The combination of Texas being viewed as a stronghold and taken for granted by the National Republican Party and the population shift in the state will turn this red state blue, based on the interview.
“After years of political coverage, we have never heard this story. I think the most intriguing story in politics this year is that Texas has become a swing state right under our noses,” said Tim Young.
