Active Adventures New Zealand

We’ve built a really strong community on our Active New Zealand page on Facebook and we’re really excited to be working with TourRadar.com to offer them more ways to interact with each other and find out about our trips without ever leaving Facebook.

Like travel industry giant, TripAdvisor.com, TourRadar.com touts itself as a one-stop shop for travellers researching their next trip who are interested in how other travellers have rated it. But unlike TripAdvisor.com, which was conceived to help people travel independently, the relative newcomer is aimed squarely at helping savvy travellers find the right organized tour by compiling tour reviews, itineraries and details for more than 25,000 tours in 220 countries. The site helps them find and compare tours whether they’re online or within Facebook.

Active Adventures is the latest tour operator to sign on with TourRadar.com. Travellers will now be able to view photos and itineraries for their 17 tours, read and submit trip reviews, and potentially meet up with others travelling on the same trip from within the TourRadar applications on the Active New Zealand Facebook page. Afterwards, travellers interested in any Active Adventures tours to New Zealand, Peru, Patagonia, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands or Nepal can at the click of a button send an email enquiry directly to Active Adventures either via TourRadar.com’s website or within the apps on Active’s page on Facebook.

TourRadar also offers the ability for agents, wholesalers and other tourism industry partners to list a tour company’s trips. Active Adventures plans to promote the use of TourRadar among its preferred agents and wholesalers seeking to broaden their product mix, with the advantage that partners can be assured the pre-loaded tours are current and accurate as they can all be updated simultaneously.

“We’ve built a really strong community on our Active New Zealand page on Facebook and we’re thrilled to be working with TourRadar.com to offer them more ways to interact with each other and find out more about our trips without ever leaving Facebook,” says Brett Black, Active Adventures marketing manager. TourRadar.com apps also make it easy to run Facebook competitions and compile reviews that can be easily shared.

"TourRadar is excited not only to be providing Active Adventures with the tools their marketing team need to help them capture the social messages of their audience, but also to be helping them seamlessly distribute those messages and tours out to their partner's Facebook Pages" says Travis Pittman, TourRadar's CEO.
