Deploying a standard visualization solution across multiple defense sites facilitates inter-agency co-operation and improves the speed and quality of mission-critical decision making - Paul Noble, Activu CEO

Activu® Corporation is pleased to announce that its industry-leading IP-based visualization and collaboration solution for mission-critical command and control center environments has been installed at Camp Humphreys in South Korea under the aegis of the Distributed Common Ground System - Army (DCGS-A).]

Camp Humphreys is one of the U.S. Army’s fastest growing military installations and a major hub for intelligence gathering operations. DCGS-A is the U.S. Army’s premier intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) enterprise, and promotes the rapid collection, aggregation, and geospatial visualization of data from national agencies, combatant commands, military intelligence brigades, and tactical Army units.

Camp Humphreys is also home to a Military Intelligence Battalion (MI BN) which requested visualization and collaboration capabilities from the DCGS-A to improve pre-battle preparedness and in-battle performance. In turn, DCGS-A recommended Activu, DCGS-A’s default multi-agency visualization and collaboration solution for situational awareness and impactful decision-making in routine and mission-critical situations. With Activu, the MI BN can leverage DCGS-A’s worldwide ISR resources to get an accurate and up-to-date common operational picture of the battle space, and significantly improve its planning and effectiveness for military operations.

“Deploying a standard visualization solution across multiple defense sites facilitates inter-agency co-operation and improves the speed and quality of mission-critical decision making. We are honored to be a small but vital part of the U.S. military effort in these challenging times. Our comprehensive IP- and COTS-based (commercial-off-the-shelf hardware) solutions also ensure cost-effectiveness when defense budgets are tight.” said Activu CEO, Paul Noble.
