The Cabin Chang Mai, Asia’s most respected drug and alcohol addiction center, invites you to join them for a three day seminar delivered by Addiction Treatment Professional Terence Gorski, the world’s foremost expert on addiction, relapse prevention and aftercare.
Denial Management Counseling (DMC) - A Brief Strategic Approach
Delivered for the first time in Asia, Denial Management Counseling (DMC) is a clinical procedure used widely in inpatient and outpatient drug services in Europe and the US.
Denial is a serious problem in the treatment of addiction and coexisting personality and mental disorders. This course will present an overview of a comprehensive clinical system for managing denial and creating intrinsic motivation for treatment. Upon completion of this course, participants will be better equipped to deal more effectively with clients exhibiting severe denial and resistance to treatment.
The three day seminar, which focuses on how to treat addicts trapped in a cycle of addiction, will be delivered by Terence Gorski, a pioneer in the development of relapse prevention therapy, who has achieved international acclaim for his work for the past 35 years.
Gorski’s approach to treatment is recognized by The National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) as one of the top three "best known and most respected treatment approaches in the United States."
The seminar is a component of the CENAPS Center of Applied Sciences, Model of Recovery and Relapse Prevention, recognized as a global standard in addiction treatment methodology.
