“Little Lambs, Little Lambs” tells the story of a little girl who can’t seem to fall asleep. She starts counting sheep, and a rhyme pops into her head. The rhyme asks a series of questions about lambs and what they do.

An excerpt from “Little Lambs, Little Lambs”:

“What do you eat and what do
you drink?
I wonder and wonder, do little
lambs think?

When you cry out baa baa,
Are you sad or are you glad?”

With colorful illustrations by Beth Zyglowicz, “Little Lambs, Little Lambs” is ideal for 2 – 5 year old children. Dacken’s singsong, rhyming text makes the book an excellent resource for bedtime reading for young readers. “It appeals to both young and old because of its simple story and the rhymes and illustrations,” she writes.
