ADLINK Technology, Inc., a trusted global source for embedded building blocks and application-ready platforms, today announced new leadership in its Americas Marketing unit with the addition of industry veteran Matthias Huber as VP of Marketing. He brings over 17 years of experience in embedded computing, with a particular focus on computer-on-module technology and customer-focused solutions. The hire of Huber clearly aligns with ADLINK’s goal to establish a majority position in the modular computing market.

Huber is currently responsible for ADLINK Technology’s marketing strategy and for defining customer solution requirements in the Americas region. During his time in the embedded computing industry, he has been deeply involved in creating industry standards and ecosystems. He has worked on both developing technology specifications and integrating those specifications into new and existing product lines. He also achieved above market-rate product adoption and business growth in his areas. Huber started his career in engineering and product management and holds a BE in Engineering, as well as an MBA from Warwick Business School.

According to numbers released by VDC Research, ADLINK Technology achieved the second highest PC/104 market share with its acquisition of German company LiPPERT Embedded Computers GmbH earlier this year, which followed ADLINK’s major push into the modular computing segment with the acquisition of AMPRO Computers, Inc., in 2008.
