Adobe’s Digital Government solutions help organizations turn inefficient, paper-based workflows into streamlined electronic ones, said Barry Leffew, vice president of Public Sector Sales, Adobe Systems Incorporated.

Carahsoft Technology Corp., the trusted government IT solutions provider, today announced the addition of Adobe EchoSign, a web-based eSignature and web contracting automation solution, to its General Services Administration Schedule. A key component of Adobe’s document solutions platform, Adobe EchoSign provides government agencies and the citizens they serve with a simple, secure and compliant option for sending, tracking, and signing documents.
“Adobe’s Digital Government solutions help organizations turn inefficient, paper-based workflows into streamlined electronic ones,” said Barry Leffew, vice president of Public Sector Sales, Adobe Systems Incorporated. “Adobe EchoSign brings these processes full circle by significantly reducing the time, cost and complexity associated with having a document signed, tracked and filed throughout the web contracting process. We look forward to continue working with Carahsoft to bring these capabilities to the government market.”
By reducing the time and costs of having documents signed with traditional methods, such as fax, overnight envelopes or in person signings, the Adobe EchoSign solution can enable agencies to significantly accelerate digital document processing, improve tracking, and centralize the management of signed agreements through a simple to use cloud service.
“Government agencies are working hard to simplify and speed interaction with their constituents,” said Cortney Steiner, vice president of the Adobe Government Solutions team at Carahsoft. “That’s why we’re so excited to add the Adobe EchoSign solution to our GSA schedule. It provides agencies with a fast and secure way for businesses and citizens to sign, track or file documents and contracts as they interact with the government, while enabling agencies to leverage their investments in Adobe software they have already purchased without additional IT implementation or maintenance.”
Adobe EchoSign is integrated seamlessly into the new release of Adobe Acrobat XI, enabling electronic signing and sending of documents directly from the Acrobat interface. EchoSign is additionally integrated with Adobe Reader XI, making the eSignature capabilities available to millions of Reader users. Signed documents may also be directly routed into LiveCycle workflows and servers.
EchoSign is compliant with the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) and the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN). All site traffic and data access are performed over a secure HTTPS channel utilizing 256-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption.
The product is available immediately via Carahsoft GSA Schedule No. GS-35F-0119Y.
