Infertility and Adoption Counseling Center's Crossing the Bridge from Infertility to Adoption or Third Party Reproduction workshop offered

"Where do I start?" "Whom do I contact?" "How can I make good decisions about family-building?"

The Infertility and Adoption Counseling Center (IAC Center) is offering an unbiased educational workshop, 'Crossing the Bridge from Infertility to Adoption or Third Party Reproduction.' Designed to help people begin their journey towards successfully becoming a parent through a variety of family building options; this workshop provides participants with the proper tools and confidence they need to move forward. This amazing learning opportunity, which has reached over 300 couples during its previous offerings over the last five years, will be offered again on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Princeton Hyatt from 1:00- 5:00pm.

Through discussions and panel sessions, participants will learn how to review their adoption or third party options, how to prepare for the “business of adoption” and discuss the realities of becoming a parent through adoption in a purely educational, no-pressure environment. Because the IAC Center does not handle adoptions, nor is it affiliated with any adoption agency or attorney or doctor providing fertility treatments, the Center is able to provide families with unbiased counseling, support groups and psycho-educational workshops. This impartial perspective promotes informed confidence without the marketing spin.

Co-Developer and psychotherapist, Andrea Braverman, Ph.D., a specialist in infertility and third party reproduction issues stressed the value of this event "Building a family through third party reproductive options is not just another medical treatment. It is another 'family building option' and when considering this option people appreciate this workshop as they have the opportunity to learn how this choice will impact their future children and themselves as parents."

Joni S. Mantell LCSW, Director of the IAC Center in Pennington, NJ and NYC and has created a clear process for helping people "Cross the Bridge" from Infertility to adoption or third party reproductive options. She is a nationally known adoption expert and will be presenting alongside a group of successful adoptive parents, birth parents and adoptees.
