Their business is to pipe ads, corporate-sponsored contests and promotions for their commercial website -- along with music -- into school buses, and into our children's ears, on their way to and from school.

They call themselves "BusRadio," but in his scathing new column renowned marketing expert and consumer advocate Brian Vaszily calls them "totalitarian radio" -- because kids won't even have the choice to shut the propaganda off.

BusRadio will start with school buses serving over 100,000 students in Massachusetts this September, then roll out their business nationwide in 2007.

As Vaszily explains it, "Children and teens don't typically comprehend the impact marketing has on them. Research has shown, in fact, that kids seven and younger cannot even distinguish between a fact and an advertisement … to their innocent minds, whatever an ad claims must actually be true (because why would anyone lie?)"

BusRadio knows this full well, and they brag their business will "take targeted student marketing to the next level."

Even worse, Vaszily notes, "the school districts (the specialists in children's brains) also know full well that children and teens don't comprehend the full impact of marketing -- but those school districts embracing BusRadio are flat-out ignoring this fact because of the short-term financial gain."

To find out how the two renowned executives behind BusRadio are trying to counter the angry criticism being leveled against their new company, what Vaszily has to say about their rebuttals, and why he is calling the school districts already allowing BusRadio "the truly reprehensible ones," go to http://www.sixwise.com/newsletters/06/06/15/get_ready_civilization_about_to_hit_a_despicable_new_low_with_busradio.htm

"Our children won't even have a choice to shut off BusRadio when they're on the bus," says Vaszily. "Unlike even television which CAN be shut off, it will be FORCED into their buses, much the same way radio propaganda has been forced upon citizens in totalitarian countries in the past."
