agencyside, a group that offers training and consulting to sell and implement digital marketing services, announced that it will be offering a $200 discount on registration fees for its upcoming April events. Led by Bret Giles, Cofounder and President of interactive marketing agency Sitewire, agencyside was launched in 2008 as a Sitewire subsidiary to leverage the extensive knowledge and experience of industry experts to teach other advertising agencies how to create and successfully run an interactive department.
In 2008, Sitewire successfully trained over 40 agencies on digital marketing practices. As a result, agencyside was launched.
"While on the surface it might seem odd we would offer to better educate 'competitors', we believe this effort works to further legitimize the interactive space. Some of the agencies that have previously attended the events have built a nice digital practice in a short amount of time and, in the process, become active in the space and evangelists for digital marketing," says Giles.
Offering in-depth courses in the "how-to" of search engine marketing, social media strategy development, econometrics and selling digital marketing services, agencyside features a number of 2 day seminars that are limited to 25 students or less.
