Silicon Valley (PRWEB) October 02, 2012
AGNITY, a global application solutions innovator and Sonus Networks, Inc.(Nasdaq: SONS), a global leader in SIP communications, today announced the successful interoperability and integration of their joint solutions for the enterprise and service provider markets.
AGNITY offers a suite of mobile, IP and Converged applications which now fully interoperate and integrate with the Sonus® Harmony™ architecture.
These value-added application solutions are powered by AGNITY’s carrier-grade ACONYX Communication Application Server (CAS), a robust protocol-agnostic platform that enables service delivery across heterogeneous fixed, mobile, legacy and IP networks. AGNITY’s solutions are offered in both cloud-hosted SaaS and on-premises models.
The Sonus Harmony architecture includes the Sonus Session Manager for managing multimedia and communication sessions and the Sonus Session Border Controllers (SBC) which can act as the connection manager at the Access level. The end-to-end architecture provided by Sonus and AGNITY enables service providers to fully leverage their multi-vendor network environments and disparate communications components to cost-effectively deliver revenue-generating value-added services to their enterprise customers. AGNITY is planning to strengthen Sonus’s application portfolio by integrating additional enterprise-oriented solutions such as BusinessConnect, Multimedia Contact Center and SPIDYR Video Calling applications in the coming months.
“Sonus and Agnity have been partnering for some time and together, we have a number of global customers benefitting from the ability to deliver differentiated services based on our joint solutions,” said Nancy Maluso, VP & GM Communication Applications at Sonus. “We look forward to continued success with the integration of AGNITY’s innovative solutions and the Sonus Session Manager, enabling service providers and enterprises within a variety of verticals to rapidly deploy new, advanced UC capabilities.”
“High valued applications like MobileCare™ and Multimedia Conferencing enables clinicians and enterprises to improve productivity and reduce communications costs,” said AGNITY President and CEO, Sanjeev Chawla. “The seamless integration of AGNITY’s platform and applications with Sonus infrastructure allows service providers to quickly and cost-effectively deploy revenue-generating services that increase their ARPU. We are excited to continue to partner with Sonus to capitalize on enterprise and service provider opportunities worldwide.”
The joint solutions are being exhibited at IT Expo West 2012 being held at Austin, Texas from October 2 – 5, 2012.
