American Home Mortgage Servicing, Inc. (AHMSI) reaffirmed its commitment to working with the non-profit organization HOPE NOW to proactively reach out to financially distressed homeowners across the nation seeking home loan modifications by participating in upcoming homeowner outreach events in Chicago (April 23, 2012), Indianapolis (April 25, 2012), New Orleans, (May 9, 2012) and Atlanta (June 1 and 2, 2012).

HOPE NOW and AHMSI began their partnership in 2008. AHMSI, HOPE NOW and several of the nation’s other mortgage servicers, hold events around the country, allowing homeowners real face-to-face mortgage assistance. At these free events, homeowners have the opportunity to meet directly with their servicer or a non-profit housing counselor. These face-to-face meetings also provide home owners the opportunity to learn more about local housing task force efforts and state programs offering assistance. Most recently, AHMSI has sent resources to HOPE NOW events in the cities of Miami, Charlotte, Las Vegas, Sacramento, San Diego, Tampa Bay and Los Angeles.

"Everyone at AHMSI is incredibly excited to continue working with the team at HOPE NOW to deliver homeowners smart mortgage solutions," said Javid Jaberi, Executive Vice President & Chief Servicing Officer at AHMSI. HOPE NOW has helped countless Americans when they have been unable to meet their mortgage obligations. Instead of heading into foreclosure, they have been able to remain in their homes due in part to the counseling they have received at these events.

"There are options other than foreclosure, and AHMSI is happy to provide the necessary resources to bring more appealing alternatives to the attention of American homeowners,” commented Jaberi.

By providing a neutral site at which homeowners can meet with counselors and mortgage providers, AHMSI and HOPE NOW provide Americans in need a way to easily learn all of the facts to develop a plan to stay in their homes. The result is a proactive solution that saves families from potential foreclosures.

AHMSI was founded in 2008 and is currently the 13th largest mortgage servicer in the country. AHMSI provides a wide spectrum of services to homeowners, mortgage lenders and mortgage investors. AHMSI offers their customers fast, accurate and innovative solutions. Since its inception in April 2008, AHMSI has modified over 190,000 mortgage loans, including over 30,000 under the U.S. government’s Making Home Affordable Program. AHMSI’s more than 3,000 associates work each day with the mission of helping families preserve their dream of home ownership.
