Greenville, SC (PRWEB) July 23, 2014 -- AidJoy is delighted to announce that it will hold its inaugural celebration of philanthropy at Zen on September 5, 2014 from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. 300 members of Greenville’s business community and AidJoy supporters are expected to attend this semi-formal event.
"We are elated to be sharing some of our triumphs of the past six years," says Jess Dennis, Director of Operations and organizer of the event. "It’s time to pause to reflect on this moment in AidJoy’s history before we launch into our next chapter.”
“The Greenville community has been very supportive of our international work, and we are thrilled to celebrate our tremendous accomplishments while shining the light on our hometown and its philanthropic heart,” explains Executive Director, Jonathan Shanin. “Helping deliver medical care to communities of the Amazon rainforest has meant that families are remaining in the rainforest, protecting it from illegal logging, mining, and oil industry abuses. Our “Rainforest Room” at the event will showcase some of our major accomplishments. We will also be making a big announcement about our plans for making a lasting impact in a new community here in the U.S.”
The AidJoy gala will include wine from sponsor Quigley Fine Wines, a purveyor of boutique, hard-to-come-by vintages, paired with heavy hors d’oeuvres and desserts. A silent auction that includes rare items from the Peruvian Amazon; a live auction with local legend, Bob Howard; and live music from the composer of the score of AidJoy’s most recent film work, Matt Morgan, will round out the festivities. Football legend,
William “The Refrigerator” Perry will also be signing autographs during the event in support of AidJoy and its causes.
The event is being sponsored by Greenville digital marketing and branding firm, Fuel. "We are thrilled to be supported by a company so connected to the heart of this community, and one that shares our philosophy of providing strategic differentiation while sharing meaningful exchanges with clients," says Shanin of Fuel.
