Aircast Custom Music has contributed to Kansas ABC-affiliate KAKE News’ brand refreshment with sound, creating a new set of themes for their newscasts and a new audio logo.

Aircast’s modular approach to KAKE’s package has resulted in a memorable audio logo and a two-staged vamp for each daypart with a variety of mixouts, which gives the station maximum flexibility for all of their needs. Stylistically, the custom music has a rhythm section basis with some orchestral backing – a very contemporary sound that retains the sanctity of the news music application.
Says Randy Hart, Creative Services Director for Aircast: “With KAKE’s virtual statewide reach in Kansas, they needed to find a music style that would fit a wide demographic. Finding that “sweet spot” stylistically was the initial focus, then working that into the different dayparts. Ultimately it turned out to be a very universal and contemporary sounding news package.”
