So many people working on different parts of the project, it can get pretty hectic in there, on top of long hours

Airhead Parts has long been considered “experts" in air-cooled VW restoration, and VW parts supply, so when the guys over at Overhaulin’ decided to rebuild a 1965 VW bug, they knew just who to call.
Rodney, (who is the host of YouTube/Airhead Parts VW tech videos), has been working on Vintage VW’s for the past 25 years and with Airhead Parts for the past 3 and half years. When asked what the most exciting part of the build was he said “definitely getting to see the shop and meeting Chip Foose. Building a car on set can be pretty daunting, especially when time restrictions are a factor, so when asked about the most interesting part of his Overhaulin experience Rodney joked, “How crazy it can be! So many people working on different parts of the project, it can get pretty hectic in there on top of the long hours. The biggest challenge was gathering and organizing the right parts needed for re-assembly.”
The build as always was for a good cause. The VW Beetle's owner, Blake, is a mechanic himself but since being diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, Blake had to put his passion for his old Volkswagen on the back burner. Not only did Airhead Parts and Overhaulin help make his VW look and ride like a champ, but gave the owner a chance to work alongside both Chip and Rodney.
Airhead Parts would like to extend a big thanks to the team at Overhaulin' for letting them share in making dreams come true. Look for Rodney this week starting on October 23rd, at 9pm on Velocity and continuing through out the week. Check your local schedule.
