Fans become immersed on the website researching the different players, watching videos and viewing photographs. It is truly a unique and enriching experience for Denver Broncos fans.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) August 20, 2009
Akavit, a leading interactive agency and web technology company, today announced the Denver Broncos' new website commemorating its 50th anniversary of NFL seasons from 1960 - 2009. This innovative and interactive website, found at http://www.denverbroncos.com/50th/, invites fans to help the Broncos celebrate by selecting their choice for the All-Time Denver Broncos Team through an online voting tool. The website includes video and multimedia spanning the 50 years of Broncos history. Voting for the All-Time Denver Broncos Team began on June 6 and concludes on September 4, 2009.
Since the site was launched, there have been 30,000 unique visitors to the site, 36,000 page views, 14,400 total votes for the All-Time Denver Broncos Team and an average of almost six minutes spent on the site per visitor. This is a 411% increase in the number of visitors and a 306% increase in the number of total votes compared to the first three days of voting. In the first three days, 5,877 fans visited the website and 3,542 ballots were submitted for the All-Time Denver Broncos Team.
"Our vision in creating this website was to recognize and celebrate with the community of fans who have been an integral part of Broncos Country during the first 50 seasons," Kyle Sonneman, manager of team media for the Denver Broncos. "The Akavit team was our first choice for developing this interactive website due to their tremendous work on DenverBroncos.com and BroncosCountry.com. They understand our need to engage with our fans and provide a user experience that is far superior to other sports websites."
Fans create their own All-Time Denver Broncos Team by adding players to each available position in offense, defense and special teams. Engaging videos at the top of each page show footage of Broncos plays spanning 50 years with players wearing yellow and brown, and orange and blue. When a position is clicked, a list of the Broncos all-time roster for that position appears and the fan can scroll through to read more about each player. Fans can also research historic players by reading bios, statistics and viewing photographs. The website is rich with player information, individual photographs, videos and a slideshow with never seen before photographs.
"By communicating interactively with the fans, the Denver Broncos franchise is able to increase their brand visibility and fan loyalty," said Thomas Dahl, vice president of technical strategy at Akavit. "Fans become immersed on the website researching the different players, watching videos and viewing photographs. It is truly a unique and enriching experience for Denver Broncos fans."
