The three-month incentive program was developed by Guy Kline, V.P. of Sales and Marketing for AlarmWATCH, Inc., to spur competition among mid-Atlantic security dealers to grow their business models. Three hundred dealers competed to get into ‘game-day’ action by adding new accounts, raising recurring revenue and boosting product add-on sales. Interlogix, a UTC Fire & Security business, and AlarMax Distributors, Inc. co-sponsored the challenge.

Thirty teams rallied to win Ravens game tickets, tailgate passes and sports memorabilia. Teams gained points by adding new accounts through advancing their knowledge of the latest technologies, fielding new product questions and tackling the important issue of creating excitement in the workplace.
The final competition wrap-up took place at the Baltimore M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, November 7th for the 2010 Baltimore Ravens - Miami Dolphins football game. Winning dealers were recognized for their achievements at the AlarmWATCH-sponsored tailgate tents for two hours prior to kickoff.

Each year, the ‘AlarmWATCH Protect-A-Thon’ challenge kicks off at the AlarmWATCH University Training Center, where dealers, manufacturers and distributors come together to learn how to apply new sales techniques to grow their customer base. Motivational coaches and product experts talk with dealers to invigorate their sales strategies, refresh their knowledge and introduce new technology advancements. Dealers who work with AlarmWATCH also receive customized sales kits unique to their business to support their marketing efforts throughout the year.
