Branded Spirits Ltd. (BSL) is a premier alcohol distributor and brand owner based in Hong Kong’s Central District. This past weekend, the company received an incredible amount of attention at the HKTDC Hong Kong Wine & Spirits Fair, Asia’s largest wine and spirits event. In fact, BSL’s convention booth received attention for its stunning display, as well as its magnificent products from the likes of Hong Kong’s Secretary of Finance, Secretary of Commerce and Economic Development, and a CNN news crew.

Originally, Branded Spirits Ltd. was created when influential executives from within China’s FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry decided to introduce high-end Western spirits to China and Hong Kong. Since being founded, BSL has grown in both popularity and brand portfolio.

During the convention weekend, Branded Spirits was sought out by local government officials, international media, such as CNN, and leaders within Hong Kong and China’s alcohol industry.

Accompanied by Ms. Mexico, an ambassador for BSL’s Corralejo Tequila, Branded Spirits’ CEO, George Chen, gave Hong Kong’s Secretary of Finance and Secretary of Commerce & Economic Development exclusive insight into his views of this growing industry while showing them bottles of his HM the King Scotch, Ice Fox Vodka, and Corralejo Tequila – among the fastest growing brands of alcohol in China.

Indeed, members of Hong Kong and China’s spirits industry have taken quite a shine to this company and its representatives. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) had their media team interview CEO George Chen to create a lifestyle expose about him and his company. Later, a team from CNN filmed the booth and interviewed Corralejo Ambassador, Ms. Mexico.

Also during the convention, at least 36 of China’s largest wine and spirits wholesalers joined the BSL team for a unique tour of the Hong Kong Harbor. BSL chartered the last remaining ‘Bounty’ – a European Tall Ship – for this sunset cruise.

Until just a few weeks ago, the Bounty in Hong Kong and its sister ship, the HMS Bounty of North Carolina, were the last of their kind, but sadly the tragedy of Hurricane Sandy sank the other epic ship taking with it crew member Claudene Christian and Captain Robin Walbridge who are both still missing at sea.

Today, BSL products can be found in retail and on-premise locations in virtually every province of China and every entertainment district of Hong Kong. Brands of alcohol which BSL currently distributes in China include HM the King Scotch, Majesté Cognac, Ice Fox Vodka, and Corralejo Tequila – to name a few.
