Allegis Group and Morgan & Banks Investments Pty Limited (MBI) signed an agreement to privatize Talent2 by jointly purchasing all the shares of Talent2, a leading Recruitment and HR BPO organization based in Australia. MBI is owned by Andrew Banks and Geoff Morgan, the founders and major shareholders of Talent2. The agreement has been unanimously approved by the independent members of the Talent2 Board, but is still conditional on shareholder and court approval. The privatization is expected to be finalized by September 2012.
Allegis Group Services (AGS), a subsidiary of Allegis Group, Inc., and Talent2 have worked together as strategic partners in various customer engagements since 2010. The Allegis Talent2 alliance has proven successful in strengthening the two companies’ ability to provide global solutions in the areas of Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Managed Services Provider (MSP) Solutions to shared clients. Together, the “AllegisTalent2” alliance has a combined geographic footprint that covers 60 countries. The privatization structure aims to create a closer bond between the two organizations.
“Allegis Group continues to explore opportunities to expand our international footprint. Allegis Group intends to extend its footprint into Asia Pacific markets through its investment in Talent2 and will benefit from Talent2’s depth of expertise in recruiting, learning, development, payroll and RPO, as well as its breadth of coverage across the Asia Pacific region. As important, Talent2’s strong focus on building a culture of hard working employees of high character is in unique alignment with our Allegis Group family of companies,” said Chris Hartman, Allegis Group’s President of International Operations.
Commenting on the announcement, John Rawlinson, Talent2 Group CEO said, “This partnership will allow Talent2 to get even closer to our customers in the right locations, offering them the skills and services that best suit their requirements. Whilst our current focus in APAC will not change, we have always recognized the importance of being connected globally. A closer partnership with Allegis will deepen our base in the Americas and Europe enabling us to compete more strongly in the global market place. Today’s announcement further cements our intention to service global companies. We believe this is a positive announcement for staff, management, customers, partners and shareholders.”
As part of the agreement, MBI and Allegis Group see the change in ownership as separate to the leadership structure and management team, which will continue to focus on driving performance and business growth for Talent2 with Andrew Banks continuing to operate as Chairman, John Rawlinson as CEO and with Geoff Morgan remaining on the Board .
