ANY LAB TEST NOW®, the first direct-access lab testing franchise company with over 90 locations nationwide, announced today that it offers a variety of allergy lab tests and Value Panels starting at just $199 for consumers who want a quick and easy alternative to expensive over-the-counter antihistamines and painful traditional testing methods. Less evasive and painful than a traditional allergy “scratch test,” a simple blood draw from ANY LAB TEST NOW® tests for over 125 common airborne, food and environmental allergens including pollens, molds, animal dander, food, medicines and many more. All tests from ANY LAB TEST NOW are available without the need of insurance, a doctor’s order or appointment.

Approximately 2 in 5 Americans (40%) suffer from some form of allergy, while 20% have allergic rhinitis (hay fever). ANY LAB TEST NOW® will offer 4 Allergy Value Panels that test more than just airborne allergens.

Each Value Panel below tests for numerous airborne, food and environmental allergens:
1. Basic Combo Panel ($249) – tests for 45 regional inhalant allergens and over 45 basic foods.
2. Expanded Food Panel ($249) – tests for 90 foods including meat, dairy, seafood, fruits, grains, spices, veggies, and food additives such as sulfites, benzoate dyes and flavor enhancers like MSG.
3. Comprehensive Combination panel ($349) – tests for 45 regional inhalant allergens and 90 food allergens.
4. Pediatric Panel ($199) – tests for 32 allergens common in children.

“It’s the beginning of allergy season across the country and a blood test is a much better substitute than merely taking costly over-the-counter anti-histamines that just minimize symptoms as opposed to informing you on what exactly you’re allergic to, which gets to the root of the problem. Now our customers and their doctors can work together to find an affordable and effective plan to manage allergies,” said Joe Neely, chief executive officer for ANY LAB TEST NOW®.

These blood-based allergy tests from ANY LAB TEST NOW® are performed by a certified medical assistant and are typically quicker and less painful from traditional “scratch” allergy tests (a method of pricking the skin with a needle or pin containing a small amount of the allergen to see if any reaction ensues). Each serum sample is tested for the allergens in a customer’s local environment using one of 12 regional testing panels designed by ANY LAB TEST NOW’s laboratory partner. The antigen-antibody detection system employed detects levels of circulating IgE in the patient’s serum with 97% specificity.

There are several other advantages to blood-based allergy tests including requiring less subjective interpretation and being a reliable predictor of key allergens. Perhaps the biggest advantage with ANY LAB TEST NOW® is that allergy test results are available within 2-3 working days after the sample is received at the laboratory, in the method the customer chooses.

After testing, customers receive their test results via e-mail, pick-up, U.S. mail or they can have them faxed within 2-3 days to their allergist or physician. The results are analyzed by a professional laboratory and delivered in an easy-to-read, color-coded format. Each patients test is subjected to its’ own positive and negative controls to ensure the highest level of quality control. Each allergen tested is itemized, scored individually (0 – negative response; 1 – low response; 2 – mild response; 3 – moderate response; 4 – high response; 5 – very high response) and assigned a yellow or red color. Red indicates an elevated response or a score of 3 or higher.

“Using blood to test the presence of allergens is extremely reliable and much less painful. What’s more, getting these tests affordably and on their own terms gives our customers and their doctors the information they need to live healthier and improve their quality of life,” said Joe Neely, the company’s chief executive officer.

The Allergy Value panels are perfect for any consumer who has experienced allergic reactions to airborne or food-based allergens or to parents of children who have experienced an allergic reaction or are concerned that their child may be allergic to certain foods. Additionally, consumers aged 65 and older with weakened immune systems would also benefit from such tests.

ANY LAB TEST NOW® also provides thousands of other medical lab tests and proprietary Value Panels to both consumers and businesses including drug, STD and wellness tests. All tests are confidential and can be taken anonymously. For more information about the Allergy Value Panels, please visit http://www.anylabtestnow.com/Allergy.
