Kredit Automation & Controls Delivers the Latest in Die Cleaning System Technology to Kaiser Aluminum's Chandler Facility
Solution Provides Safe and Efficient Post-Extrusion Die Cleaning Equipment for Facilities with One or Two Aluminum Extrusion Presses
Phoenix, Ariz. (PRWEB) February 11, 2009 -- Kredit Automation & Controls, Inc. a Rockwell Automation Integrator Partner, today announced that it has delivered the latest version of its die cleaning equipment to Kaiser Aluminum's Chandler, Ariz. facility that produces drawn seamless aluminum tubing for aerospace and high strength applications. The new highly-efficient post-extrusion solution is one of the industry's safest and fastest systems available, delivering die cleaning procedures that are a significant improvement over previous methods.
Although Kredit Automation produces equipment that can clean extrusion dies that are up to 30 inches in diameter, the DieKlean 360-1Ni is the smallest system Kredit Automation has built to date. It is designed for facilities with one or two extrusion presses and is capable of removing the aluminum from an 8 inch diameter multi-piece extrusion die in just 1.5 hours, less than half the time of traditional die cleaning methods.
In addition to the productivity gains through faster aluminum removal time, further economic gains are realized by up to a 50 percent reduction in sodium hydroxide consumption. Plant safety is enhanced by effectively removing the operator from exposure to hot sodium hydroxide fumes and through an integral, fully automatic, neutralization system for waste materials.
"The optional fully automatic neutralization of the sodium hydroxide waste means there is no hazardous waste as a by-product of the die cleaning process thereby reducing costs associated with waste removal," said Dale Kredit, President of Kredit Automation.
