AFutureStar.com, a new social networking platform showcasing amateur talent, launches April 1st. AFutureStar.com sponsors competitions that showcase amateur talent from six categories: Music, Short films, Dance, Stand Up Comedy, Spoken Word/Poetry, and Random. Competitions within each category are held every four weeks at the start of the month with winners advancing to the next round after each week, culminating in the third and final round during the fourth week of the month.

Members vote on their favorite talent, advancing amateur artists to the final rounds of the competition, and focusing a spotlight on new talent. According to Founder Mark Opara, “We wanted to give the average person an opportunity to showcase and display some of their talents, not only to their friends but to the public at large. The competitions are very unique. Users can interact and compete with one another. Additionally, the competitions are not limited to a user’s locale as there is an opportunity to win nationally with every competition submission.”

AFutureStar.com will attract amateur entertainers and those who enjoy watching amateur competitions and entertainment. For more information about AFutureStar, please visit AFutureStar.com, or contact Amy Grishman at 978-594-4002.
