For shoppers looking to save money on last-minute holiday shopping, American Express today introduced a shipping upgrade for online purchases of American Express® Gift Cards from December 12 through December 19, 2007 at 11 a.m. ET at http://www.americanexpress.com/gift.

Gift Card shoppers can get express second day shipping for $5.95 – the cost of standard shipping and a $7 savings on typical second day shipping costs of $12.95 – for online purchases of the American Express Classic Gift Card as well as for the themed Gift Card Especially For(SM) Kids, Teens, Movie Lovers, Dining, the Bride and Groom, and Birthdays. The upgrade is automatic when purchasers choose "Express 2nd Day" in the drop-down list of shipping options.
