“This is the closest to the action you will get within the comfort, style, and luxury of a beautiful motor yacht. Enjoy great food and drink while watching the race from ringside and on our satellite video feed indoors on Odyssey,” said Captain Sowash.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 14, 2013
Sailing Fearless, a San Francisco based yacht Charter Company offering America's Cup Charters, announced today that pricing for America's Cup On The Water viewing with Odyssey, a 65 foot tri-deck luxury yacht, is now available. Prices range from $350 to $900 per person depending on the series race, which start July 5th and could run through September 21st depending on how long it takes the contenders to win their first 7 races. Bookings for corporate, group, and private charters in addition to individual ticketing are now being accepted.
Coast Guard certified for 40 passengers, Odyssey will be chartering during the Louis Vuitton Cup, the first ever Red Bull Youth America’s Cup, the Superyacht Regatta, and the America’s Cup Finals. With an all day 6 hour once-in-a-lifetime experience from 10 am – 4 pm, one of San Francisco’s finest restaurants Arelquin, of the Absinthe Restaurant Group, will provide catering and beverages, including a fine selection of beer and wine.
“This is the closest to the action you will get within the comfort, style, and luxury of a beautiful motor yacht. Enjoy great food and drink while watching the race from ringside and on our satellite video feed indoors on Odyssey,” said Captain Stephan Sowash.
As an official stake boat, Odyssey will depart from Emeryville marina to form part of the perimeter of the race course offering premium viewing of the AC72 catamarans with an unobstructed view of the competition. Odyssey offers a live feed and commentary via two big screen satellite televisions inside the cabin, a spacious main salon with wet bar and large seating area, outdoor and indoor seating with protection from the weather, and a 360 degree view of the bay. With “gyro-controlled hydraulic stabilizers”, the yacht provides extreme stability regardless of sea conditions.
“Your experience aboard Odyssey will be the best possible when it comes to capturing the excitement of the world’s greatest yacht race,” said Captain Stephan Sowash.
The Louis Vuitton Cup, which will see challengers from around the world battle each other in a knockout series for the opportunity to compete for the America’s Cup, is scheduled for July 5th – September 1st and is used as a selection series to determine who will race the Defender, “Oracle Team USA”, in the America’s Cup Finals. During this action packed early event, spectators will have the opportunity to see more yachts compete than in the finals where only the two top performers, the Defender and Challenger, will fight for the cup.
Next up is the Red Bull Youth's America's Cup featuring young, talented sailors aged 19 to 24, who race on the same high performance, wing-sailed AC45 catamarans that are used in the America’s Cup World Series. The Red Bull Youth America’s Cup is comprised of national teams of six sailors and will take place in early September 2013.
Concluding with the top two sailing teams in the world, America’s Cup finals start Saturday, September 7th and feature both the Defender, from the Golden Gate Yacht Club, and Challenger in match races that eventually determine the winner of the oldest active trophy in International sport. The winning yacht club represented by the individual teams, will decide where America’s Cup 2016 will take place.
