As we saw the potential of our new technologies emerge for casino gaming, social networking and marketing, it became clear to us that the potential for a very valuable partnership existed.
Durango, Colorado (PRWEB) March 21, 2012
Durango, Colorado based Airborne Media Group, Inc. (AMG) and Ignacio, Colorado based Sky Ute Casino Resort, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, announced today the formation of a Strategic and Technical Alliance focused on developing new products and services for the Native American casino market nationwide. The foundation of this new product and service offering will revolve around what the Alliance describes as “The convergence of casino gaming, mobile commerce and social networking.” Working in conjunction with AMG, Sky Ute Casino Resort will facilitate the introduction of AMG’s new Audioair technology to the Native American casino market as well as assist in the development of a wide array of new gaming opportunities, innovative player reward programs and other facets of casino gaming which could benefit from emerging digital technologies focused on the industry.
According to AMG Chief Executive Officer Cordell R. Brown, “Sky Ute Casino Resort was integral to our development of the Audioair technology. The Sky Ute team permitted us to experiment with our technology in their grand casino facilities, and as we saw the potential of our new technologies emerge for casino gaming, social networking and marketing, it became clear to us that the potential for a very valuable partnership existed.”
Brown added, “The Sky Ute Casino Management Team has real vision, and they look to reinvent themselves in the face of two clear realities—first, that casino gaming is rapidly changing, especially when it comes to the impact of digital age technologies, and second, the Casino is not immediately adjacent to a major metropolitan market. Because of these factors, they need to find other ways and means to generate revenue besides providing a great local casino experience—they can use digital technologies such as ours to their advantage.”
Sky Ute Casino Resort’s Interim General Manager, Madilenia Chavarillo, commented on the development by saying, “We have worked very hard to become the destination casino resort that we operate today, and we believe that we are perfectly positioned to realize the tremendous potential for this business that so many in our community helped create. This is a big step for us, and, to their credit, our Tribal Council is agile and opportunistic enough to permit us to embrace this opportunity, which will help us become the future of Indian gaming.”
The first step for the Alliance will be the installation of Audioair on all of the big screen TVs on the property which will permit Casino patrons to not only watch, but also privately listen to the sports entertainment and other rich broadcast content on the Casino’s television displays. Audioair also serves as a platform for a number of value-driven elements such as player’s rewards, casino free play, marketing opportunities, gaming education and other interactive features designed to enrich the casino player’s experience.
Airborne Media Group, Inc. is a privately held corporation founded in 2010. Its newly invented technology is designed to deliver an entirely new entertainment and news and information distribution experience by permitting the users of smart phones to privately listen in to televisions in all types of venues where they must be muted for noise considerations. The company has created and is expanding a team of strategic partners to further develop its technology and achieve its ambitious sales and marketing goals.
The Sky Ute Casino and Resort is wholly owned and operated by the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, with its tribal headquarters located near Ignacio, Colorado. The Tribe has operated the Sky Ute Casino Resort for seventeen years and opened their expansive, present location in 2008; featuring a 45,000 square foot casino gaming floor, 140 room luxury hotel, three restaurants, a bowling center and RV Park.
