Goyer Brings More Than 25 Years Experience to the Grandparent

Goyer, formerly head of the AARP Foundation’s
Grandparenting Program. Goyer will serve in the newly created position
of Senior Vice President of Outreach.
In this new position, Goyer will be responsible for developing
Grandparents.com’s programs to enhance the
relationships among grandparents, grandchildren and parents. Goyer will
also lead Grandparents.com’s collaborations
with like-minded organizations as well as expand and refine the company’s
Grandparent Advisory Board. A recognized authority in media, Goyer will
serve as one of the key spokespersons for Grandparents.com.

Goyer spent almost 15 years working at AARP in various capacities,
including Intergenerational Coordinator, and most recently held the
position of National Coordinator of the AARP Foundation’s
Grandparenting Program, a resource for grandparents that helps to
strengthen their health, finances and family connections. Goyer also
acted as AARP’s national spokesperson on
grandparenting and other family issues and appeared on numerous national
television programs such as NBC Nightly News, PBS Nightly
Business Report, Today Show and the CBS Early Show.
Goyer has written, published articles on and lectured extensively about
the issues of grandparenting and building intergenerational
relationships. She has served on numerous boards and advisory councils,
including Generations United and the International Consortium of
Intergenerational Programmes.
