Thanks to the RSS feed template I have been able to use specific keywords to provide my readers with the latest news without me having to update manually every day. I can now use that extra time to focus on other aspects of my business.

Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) October 16, 2012

AppsGeyser, the leading free Android app-making platform, has released an Android app that provides an RSS feed as the latest addition to their range of app making templates. The RSS feed template allows developers to make an Android app that exports an updated feed, directly from a chosen website or from a choice of keywords, to the users app.

RSS stands for ‘Rich Site Summary’ and it functions as a tool to provide subscribers with a preview of recent updates. Websites that update their data frequently include an RSS feed link on their website so users can subscribe to the feed and automatically receive updates. AppsGeyser has created this app function to allow developers to make an app that provides their users with access to all newly released data from the developer’s chosen webpage, such as their blog. The updates are received instantaneously to the app without having to revise the app manually.

AppsGeyser has also included the option to create a news feed from keywords. This decision was taken to aide developers that are promoting a chosen topic and not a website. The developer can manipulate the keyword search using the + and – signs to make the search as specific as required.

Android app creator Sam Johnson was one of the first to use the new feature, she told us; "I have a local news app that I keep updated using various news websites. Thanks to the RSS feed template I have been able to use specific keywords to provide my users with the latest local news without me having to update manually every day. This saves me time. I can now use that extra time to focus on other aspects of my business."

AppsGeyser Co-founder Vasily Salomatov, advised us of his reasoning for the creation of the app template; he said, "Over the last few months we have seen that app developers are frequently updating apps. The new RSS feed template enables the developer to collate all the latest news using our keyword feature or web link without having to update their app.”
