Readers join Coffey on this emotional rollercoaster as she fights against the odds with tear-stained cheeks. It is her hope that, as readers follow her struggles, they see that with a positive attitude, God and a few miracles, anything is possible.

In “My friend Jesus …: Stroke at 45” (published by WestBow Press), author Annette Coffey’s inspiring new memoir, readers are taken into a shattered life that, though hard work and steadfast faith, slowly pieces itself back together.

“When I awoke from my stroke, which was a pons stroke at the base of my neck – a blood vessel to my brain had ripped and was bleeding into my brain – I was unable to move any part of my body but my eyes just a little,” says Coffey. “I could not speak, breathe, eat or drink.”

In an instant, Coffeyt’s world was taken from her. Her dream car, plane, home and money all disappeared as she fought to stay alive. As time passed and she worked toward being able to move any part of her body, her husband also slipped through her fingers as she gave him the divorce he wanted. Broken and alone, Coffey worked every day to regain her life back with only her faith in the Lord to guide her.
