Antelope, Boyd, and Loup counties in Nebraska have started electronic recording (e-recording) land documents with Simplifile, the nation’s largest and fastest-growing e-recording service provider.

E-Recording is an online document recording method that provides a faster, more efficient option for title companies, banks, attorneys and other land document submitters to send documents to recording jurisdictions via the Internet instead of by mail or in person.

“After attending a Simplifile meeting, I saw no reason not to make this option of filing available to those interested,” said Loup County Clerk Debbie Postany. “Customers will benefit from faster turnaround time, especially with our newly limited window for mail receipt and return.”

In addition to expedited document recording, all three counties will benefit from Simplifile’s e-recording service by reducing paper, mail costs, and having the ability to automate and streamline the document recording workflow.

“E-Recording is not just for the large counties with hundreds of submitters,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “It enhances the recording capabilities for all counties, regardless of size, along with their customers who now have a chance to expand their reach and record documents throughout the nation.”

With the addition of Antelope, Boyd, and Loup counties, nearly 60% of Nebraska’s recording jurisdictions are currently e-recording with Simplifile.

These three Nebraska counties join more than 900 recording jurisdictions across U.S. that make up Simplifile’s network, the largest e-recording network in the nation.
