George and LouAnn Reed, owners of three Massage Envy locations in the St. Louis area, have been named the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU) Honorable Mention Employer of the Year.

In business since 2005, the Reeds have employed 158 career college graduates, including nearly 50 who graduated from Anthem College campuses in Maryland Heights and Fenton. The Reeds have actively engaged with Anthem College, a member of APSCU, and work with College massage therapy instructors on curriculum enhancements, serve as guest lecturers, and help students prepare for employment interviews.

“We are delighted that George and LouAnn Reed have received this important recognition,” says Anthem Education Chancellor and CEO James Hutton, PhD. “Although employers generally do not receive enough recognition for their support of career education, they are a vital element in the career education equation.”

“Our students pursue postsecondary education with a purpose: employment and upward mobility,” Hutton says. “Employers such as Massage Envy not only provide both, they often go above and beyond to ensure that the education students receive is on target and builds up the talent base needed in critical career fields. We at Anthem thank George and LouAnn Reed for their outstanding efforts.”

Mrs. Reed represented Massage Envy at a recent APSCU-sponsored ceremony in Washington, D.C. and accepted the award on behalf of her business. She later participated in visits to Capitol Hill lawmakers to discuss how career colleges graduates provide employers an educated and skilled workforce.

In addition to offering the Associate of Applied Science degree and Diploma in Massage Therapy, Anthem College also offers diploma and degree programs that prepare students to enter fields as Dental Assistants, Medical Assistants, and Pharmacy Technicians. The Fenton campus also offers a Medical Billing and Coding program, and the Maryland Heights campus has a Surgical Technologist program that offers the Associate degree only.

The Maryland Heights campus is north of St. Louis, located at 13723 Riverport Drive, just off the Maryland Heights Expressway. The Fenton campus, south of the city, is located at 645 Gravois Bluffs Boulevard, just east of State Highway 141.

To learn more about Anthem College degree and diploma programs, call the Maryland Heights campus at 855.526.8426 or visit the campus website. The Fenton campus can be reached at 855.326.8436.

Both campuses are hosting Open Houses March 28th from 9 am to 8 pm.
