Colleges feature allied health programs in massage therapy, dental assistant, medical assistant, and more

Anthem College will kick-off 2012 with a strong, positive message about the value of education.

Two Anthem College campuses in Maryland Heights and Fenton will host Open Houses next Wednesday, January 18, from 9 am to 8 pm.

“Anthem College will kick-off 2012 with a strong, positive message about the value of education,” says Maryland Heights Campus President Heidi Wind.

Students at Anthem College, formerly Allied College, get the education and training to meet the demands of the modern allied health/healthcare field. They learn in both classrooms and labs designed to look like real-world facilities. Massage Therapy students complete their post-class training in supervised, onsite clinics where they offer massages at competitive rates to the public.

“Anthem is different,” says Suzanne Marshall-Caby, Campus President for the Fenton school. “Our students are not traditional college students. Many have families, jobs, or both. We set class and lab schedules to work with them, not against them, and give them the flexibility they need to keep up their personal responsibilities.”

“We also teach our programs one class at a time, typically over a four-week period, to let students focus on learning and not cram for exams,” Wind adds.

Both campuses are waiving application fees to all students who apply by January 18.

The Colleges offer the following programs:

  •     Dental Assistant (Diploma, Associate of Applied Science)
  •     Massage Therapy (Diploma, Associate of Applied Science)
  •     Medical Assistant (Diploma, Associate of Applied Science)
  •     Medical Billing & Coding (Diploma, Associate of Applied Science)
  •     Pharmacy Technician (Diploma, Associate of Applied Science)

The Maryland Heights campus also offers the Diploma and Associate degree in Surgical Technologist.

The Fenton campus is located at 645 Gravois Bluffs Boulevard, just west of New Smizer Mill Road (141). To RSVP and get more information about the Open House, call the school at 636.326.7300. The College’s website is at
