Anthem College Open House Will Feature New Veterinary Facility

Anthem College-Kansas City is hosting an Open House for the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, December 10 at its campus at 9001 State Line Road in Kansas City.

In addition to the Open House, the College will open a new facility to house its Veterinary Technology Associate of Applied Science degree program. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“We are really excited about this new addition, which will be a huge support to our Vet Tech program,” says A.J. Sare, Anthem College Director of Admissions. "The College introduced the Veterinary Technology program in 2010. The College has applied for accreditation from the the American Veterinary Medical Association," Sare added.

  •     Heartland SPCA
  •     HELP Humane Society
  •     Idexx Laboratories
  •     Kansas City Animal Shelter
  •     Mid-American Bully Breed Rescue
  •     Operation Wildlife
  •     Oxford Animal Hospital
  •     Pete and Mac’s
  •     Stanley Veterinary Clinic

Pete and Mac’s, which provides kennel and grooming services, will provide a dummy dog to demonstrate CPR on dogs.

The Open House will also feature Anthem College’s healthcare programs:

  •     Dental Assistant
  •     Massage Therapy
  •     Medical Assistant
  •     Medical Billing & Coding
  •     Surgical Technologist

Students can earn a Diploma or Associate of Applied Science degree in these programs.
Visitors to the Open House will have the opportunity to speak with Anthem College instructors and students. In addition, students from the Massage Therapy program will offer complementary chair massages. Children are welcome and invited to bring their stuffed animal friends in for a check-up from current Veterinary Technology students. A face painting booth will be set up as well.
