Anthony & Sylvan Pools continued their tradition of donating both money and time to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia Region. With a 2012 gift of $5,000, A&S has now contributed over $10,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities in the quest to improve the health and well-being of children in our area. Four members of the Anthony & Sylvan Pools East Coast Division Leadership Team also participated in the “Change the Luck of a Child” phone bank, which is the charity’s annual fundraiser.
Anthony & Sylvan Pools’ President Howard P. Wertman, and his wife Eva, have both volunteered with Ronald McDonald House Charities for many years including volunteering as counselors at the Ronald McDonald Overnight Camp in the Poconos.
“The leadership of Howard and Eva has been a great inspiration at A&S and prompted others to become more deeply involved in this wonderful charitable organization,” said Alan Walker, General Manager of the East Coast Division of Anthony & Sylvan Pools.
This was the 3rd annual phone bank fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit organization that creates and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children in our community. The well-known Ronald McDonald House Charities also supports Family Rooms in 13 area hospitals; a Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, which delivers dental care to qualified children; and, a number of area scholarships and grants.
