Embedding a 2-inch strip of grit tape into the stair tread channels makes them more visible and reduces the potential of slip and fall.

Martinson-Nicholls new anti-slip grit tape is designed to make rubber and vinyl stair treads safer. The precision-cut mineral tape provides an anti-slip surface near the stair nose, and provides enhanced visibility.
Designed to provide slip resistant footing even on wet steps, the two-inch wide anti-slip tape is designed to precisely fit the channel cut into rubber and vinyl treads. According to company president Dan Ruminski, "Embedding a 2-inch strip of grit tape into the stair tread channels makes them more visible and reduces the potential of slip and fall."
While the company offers the two-inch wide tape in a variety of standard colors, Martinson-Nicholls has already provided customers with other widths and even custom colors. Martinson-Nicholls even offers a glow-in-the-dark version of the anti-slip tape, making it ideal for nighttime or emergency exit use. The glow-in-the-dark grit tape absorbs light and glows for up to 12 hours.
The standard, two inch by sixty foot rolls feature a durable, pressure-sensitive backing making it easy to just peel and stick the anti-slip tape to new or renovated stair treads.
Martinson-Nicholls provides the customer with the exact size matting needed--small, large, standard, nonstandard, special shapes and logos. Custom installations are also a specialty of the company.
The company is sponsoring a new blog on Cleveland Industrial History, with entertaining and informative stories on Cleveland's key role in industrial history.
Anti-slip safety tapes and treads are available in various sizes and textures from hand cut or die cut pieces to full rolls and special shapes. For more information, please visit http://www.floormat.com.
