The event, attended by over 1,200 business travel professionals, took place at London’s Grosvenor House hotel on Monday, January 24 2011.

Sean Worker, BridgeStreet’s chief executive officer, said: “These awards are considered to be among the most valued accolades granted by the industry and we are honoured to be recognised as the leader in our segment for the second year in a row.”

The award for Best Serviced Apartment category was presented to BridgeStreet by Tom Otley, representing Seatplans.com. In reaching their decision, the judges highlighted the fact that BridgeStreet was “very much geared to the corporate market, with excellent management information and a clear passion and belief in its brand”. Chairman of the judges and managing editor of Buying Business Travel magazine, Mike Toynbee, added: “BridgeStreet not only provides a top quality product, but offers outstanding service at both a group and individual property level.”

“This is a very competitive category with impressively high standards and we are thrilled and honoured to have been selected as this year’s winner,” added Stephen Hanton, BridgeStreet’s managing director of the EMEA region. The judges, comprising leading travel buyers and consultants, made their final selection from a shortlist of five serviced apartment providers, taking into account case studies, submissions and testimonials from clients.

The Business Travel Awards, now in its 16th year, combines both the long-standing Business Travel World Awards and the prestigious Buying Business Travel Diamond Awards. Stephen Hanton accepted the award on BridgeStreet’s behalf along with associates in sales, marketing and management.
