“As a young lawyer Mike didn’t hesitate to get involved in complicated business litigation cases and he always came out on top, even against more seasoned lawyers," says Herrling Clark Past-President and Senior Partner Michael S. Siddall.
Appleton, WI (PRWEB) October 07, 2014
Appleton general practice and business litigation law firm Herrling Clark Law Firm, Ltd. is pleased to announce that Shareholder Michael C. Menghini has been recognized as a 2014 “Up & Coming Lawyer” Honoree by the Wisconsin Law Journal.
Twenty-six Wisconsin attorneys from a variety of practice areas were honored as Wisconsin Law Journal’s 2014 “Up and Coming Lawyers” this year. Menghini, along with the other nominees, was featured in a special publication of the Wisconsin Law Journal and honored at an exclusive dinner and awards presentation held at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee on September 17.
The annual award event, now in its sixth year, recognizes Wisconsin attorneys who are said to be “right out of the starting gate” and have proven themselves to be rising stars. Furthermore, to be chosen as an “Up and Coming Lawyer,” an attorney must have eight years or less of experience, have handled challenging legal issues, taken steps to improve the justice system and demonstrated a commitment to their local community.
While most attorneys will go an entire career without an opportunity to appear before the State’s highest court, Menghini has accomplished this goal three times over. On the list of Menghini’s impressive accomplishments that earned him the “Up and Coming Lawyer” accolade includes having appeared before the Wisconsin Supreme Court on three different occasions, providing oral argument in two of his cases.
Menghini was nominated as an “Up and Coming Lawyer” by Herrling Clark past-president and senior partner Michael S. Siddall. “As a young lawyer Mike didn’t hesitate to get involved in complicated business litigation cases and he always came out on top, even against more seasoned lawyers. Because of this, his client base continues to grow. Congratulations, Mike,” says Siddall.
Associate Attorney, Kristen S. Knutson, who graduated one year behind Menghini, has looked up to him since joining the firm. “Mike set the bar high for young lawyers at our firm because he produced immediately and commanded respect from the legal community right out of the gates. It really is fun to practice with Mike because he’s sharp, and creative, and willing to take risks to protect his clients’ rights. The caliber of Mike’s talent forces everyone around him to work harder and set more aggressive goals and that just makes us all better lawyers,” says Knutson.
