Kitchen appliance retailer Appliances Online has unveiled plans to give consumer reviews a regular place on their blog.

Customer reviews on Appliances Online blog

Kitchen appliances retailer, Appliances Online, is rewarding reviewers by setting aside a regular spot on their blog for customers.

Starting from early June the website has been hosting unabridged customer reviews on its official blog to help potential buyers make an informed purchase.

Appliances Online collects reviews through Google’s partner Bazaar Voice, an American company that vets the reviews by hand.

The blog receives up to 8000 views a month and it is hoped that showcasing reviews will encourage new customers to leave more detailed feedback including pictures and videos.

Since joining forces in May 2009 the two companies have collected nearly 25,000 reviews for white goods.

Appliancesonline.co.uk specialises in large kitchen appliances such as fridge freezers, washing machines, cookers and tumble dryers. They offer next day delivery up until 5pm, a price match promise and 10 day no fuss returns.

Notes for Editors

Appliances Online was launched in 2000 and is part of DRL limited, the UK’s largest white label online kitchen appliance retailer. DRL was established in 2000 as an online white goods retailer and in 2009 acquired Expert Logistics; they now benefit from their own dedicated delivery fleet and employ over 420 people in their Bolton & Radcliffe based offices. The company’s client list includes Boots, Marks and Spencer, Next, House of Fraser, Debenhams, B&Q, Argos, Empire Direct and Screwfix, as well as distribution clients such as Tesco. DRL also has its own retail websites, Appliances Online and Appliance Deals and customer review site, Appliance Reviews. In 2008 DRL was ranked 28th in The Times Fast Track 100 for sales growth.
