As Appliances Online is a responsible retailer, the £9.99 charge customers will be saving only covers the transportation and collection of old appliances. In a bid to help customers help the environment, Appliances Online does not charge for the actual recycling of old appliances.
Appliances Online supports the new WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directive from the government, which contributes to a national fund to help to develop specific WEEE collection centres throughout the UK.
Appliances Online want to reduce the amount of electrical waste that ends up in landfill and in turn help to protect the environment from further damage, because:
- Waste electrical and electronic equipment is the fastest growing waste stream in the UK, increasing by 5% every year
- In 1 year in the UK we produce enough waste electrical and electronic equipment to fill Wembley Stadium 6 times
Appliancesonline.co.uk specialises in large kitchen appliances such as washing machines, cookers fridge freezers and dishwashers. They offer next day delivery up until 6pm, price match promise and 10 day no fuss returns.
