The idea for this unique app came up after a stinky -- but real -- situation in a movie theater

Fans of mystery apps who want to experience something completely different, totally zany and refreshingly hilarious can now download the new app Whodunit? from YesApps LLC, and challenge themselves to spot the elusive “fartee” in a theater who has taken it upon themselves to spoil the movie by adding their very own soundtrack.

Here’s Whodunit’s? wild and wacky back story: the Corkheads are happily watching a movie, when suddenly someone in the crowd breaks wind and creates an unacceptably stinky situation. But who’s the fartee? That’s where vigilant users must use their eyes, ears, observation talents and memorization skills to spot the cheese-cutting culprit, and solve the mystery. Each time they succeed, they make it to the next level to face a more challenging scenario, and must single out an even more subtle and surreptitious wind breaker.

Other ridiculously fun Whodunit? features include:

  • 156 increasingly challenging levels
  • More than 36 unique game characters
  • Funny dialogue between characters
  • A great soundtrack and fantastic graphics
  • Game Center and iCloud support
  • Leaderboards and achievements

“The idea for this unique app came up after a stinky -- but real -- situation in a movie theater,” commented Ed Principe of YesApps LLC. “I was with four of my friends watching `Avatar’. In one specific silent moment of the movie, I’m pretty sure that everybody around us heard a long, but discreet, fart sound. A few seconds after the sound traveled around us the horror started. Mixtures of toxic odors made everybody hold their breath and automatically look at each other. Quickly thereafter, in the row in front of us, a little blonde girl drinking soda said: Oops, excuse me. That did it – we couldn’t contain our laughter! We also thought that a mystery app based on a similar situation would be just as hilarious, while also challenging and smart, too. So we decided to touch the subject in a light- hearted way by making the Whodunit? unique and different from the obnoxious `fart apps’ in AppStore. That's why we claim to take fartees to a whole new level!”

Whodunit?, the completely unique mystery app that has already earned perfect 5-star ratings from fartee-hunting users around the world, is available now in the App Store at https://itunes.apple.com/app/whodunit/id575303262. The app is designed for iPad, and requires iOS 5.0 or later.
