We plan to use his input and guidance on our continued ground-breaking path through this transforming era of virtualization and cloud computing.”
“Cloud is clearly the future of enterprise computing,” said Stirling, “but to realize the full potential of the cloud, we must virtualize applications, and AppZero is leading the way. I’m really excited to be a part of the AppZero team.”
Mark has more than 25 years of C-level executive experience. He has built, operated and sold software companies in Canada and the United States. He is an internationally recognized speaker on technology, marketing and finance and he has served on advisory boards and Boards of Directors for both public and private companies. Most recently, he was Chair of xkoto Inc., a Boston-based database virtualization company that enjoyed major success in the IBM DB2™ and Microsoft SQL Server™ markets before being sold to Teradata in May of this year.
AppZero software virtualizes Windows and UNIX server applications for rapid provisioning of services across a network, on any server, in the datacenter or in the cloud. AppZero pioneered the Virtual Application Appliance (VAA), which encapsulates an application with all of its dependencies - but without any operating system (OS) component. The result is server applications that are 100% portable with zero footprint and fast, near native performance. For enterprises and ISVs interested in the potential of pay-as-you-go-computing, AppZero provides a smooth on-ramp to the cloud, with low cost management and no cloud lock-in. AppZero makes it technically easy and economical to exploit cloud computing.
