The May 16, 2012 audio conference entitled Understanding ICD-10-PCS Official Coding Guidelines will cover general and ICD-10-PCS Medical Surgical Section coding guidelines.

The American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Coding Clinic Audio Conference Series upcoming conferences feature dedicated ICD-10-PCS procedure coding content.

Introduction to the Basics of ICD-10-PCS Procedure Coding will be presented April 18, 2012. This audio conference will provide introductory information and key concepts on ICD-10-PCS coding, review the basics of code selection and explain the Alphabetical Index and Tabular List. The May 16, 2012 audio conference entitled Understanding ICD-10-PCS Official Coding Guidelines will cover general and ICD-10-PCS Medical Surgical Section coding guidelines. Surgical examples applying ICD-10-PCS codes will be discussed as well.

AHA staff members Nelly Leon-Chisen, RHIA, Director, Coding and Classification, Anita Rapier, RHIT, CCS, Senior Coding Consultant and Gretchen Young-Charles, RHIA, Senior Coding Consultant, will serve as presenters for the audio conferences. Both conferences will be presented from 12:00 – 1:45pm CST.
