Obesity and mental health disorders are the leading contributors to rising corporate healthcare costs. Mental health disorders cost Canadian corporations 51 billion last year alone.

Return-to-work specialist, arc Health Management, launches a personalized consulting program with customized manuals targeting mental health and obesity within the workplace. Manuals are customized for each client, created and delivered after an audit of a company's current practices.

The Mental Health Commission of Canada reports that over the past five years approved claims and compensation related to mental injury at work has increased by as much as 700 percent. arc Health’s evolved tools and live interactive support service is designed to support Canadian employers’ Human Resource departments.

Roselle Piccininni, President of arc Health Management says, “Obesity and mental health disorders are the leading contributors to rising corporate healthcare costs. Mental health disorders cost Canadian corporations 51 billion in lost productivity per year. It’s virtually impossible for human resource professionals to stay on top of what works and what doesn’t from a screening and best practices perspective, and that’s why we’ve launched this program.”

With this consulting program, arc Health will do two things: 1) provide an in-depth, independent, and confidential review of any private or publicly traded company’s policies and procedures; and 2) provide a FREE report, action plan and next steps. Companies can choose to move forward independently or in partnership with arc Health Management.

Ryan Smith, a Vice President at arc Health Management, says, “Our Mental Health and Obesity management program is simple. We focus on the underlying problems and look for the signs that lead to short term disability claims. Claims management is a forever evolving practice. Our specialists are seasoned case workers here to assist outcome oriented organizations.”

This program will be available starting September 15, 2011. Canadian Companies can apply for a free and confidential consultation with Ryan Smith. For more information, visit http://www.archealth.ca.
