Donald C. Buenger, AIA, LEED AP, Principal with Urban Design Group, has been named as a member of the Real Estate Group of Atlanta (REGA). REGA is a private, non-profit association dedicated to furthering the networking and education opportunities of commercial real estate professionals in the Atlanta area.

Donald C. Buenger, AIA, LEED AP, has over 35 years of professional experience as an architect. Upon graduation, Buenger joined UDG in 1975 at the firm’s inception. Buenger has been a passionate leader with UDG throughout his career, and he moved to Georgia in 1989 to open the Atlanta office. His dedicated leadership and passion for his profession has made UDG’s approach widely respected throughout the vibrant Southeast region and the country.
With countless major projects to his credit, Buenger has developed a keen sense of context and relevance in the studio’s work. He further understands the importance of balancing delivery with the realities of budget. This unique talent has been applied extensively in the commercial office market, mixed-use projects, education and resort/gaming sectors. From inception to completion, Buenger’s ability to clearly comprehend client needs, then translate them into realizing their vision through master planning, design and construction, has resulted in multiple loyal, decades-long client relationships.
Buenger holds a Bachelor of Architecture (with Honors) from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. He is registered architect, licensed to practice in 22 states and is recognized as a LEED Accredited Professional. He is active in numerous professional associations including: the National Trust for Historic Preservation, American Institute of Architects (AIA), Cobb Chamber of Commerce, National Association for Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), US Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

REGA is a commercial real estate association dedicated to furthering networking and education opportunities for professionals in Atlanta. REGA conducts meetings on a monthly basis (excluding the summer) that focus on current events, industry trends, personal management and career development.
