San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) June 07, 2013
Quail Lodge Resort and Golf Club has been a gateway destination for leisure travelers since the mid-1960s. In 2009, this well-known resort in Carmel Valley, California closed, and the owners decided to use that time to remodel the resort with a new, refined look and feel. In March 2013, the resort unveiled its new look with the help of San Francisco architecture firm AXIS Architecture + Design.
The owners, Hong Kong Shanghai Hotels, decided to use the services of AXIS Architecture + Design to execute the new architecture design changes. Using the interior design ideas of Bob Berry Designs, AXIS Architecture + Design worked closely with Hong Kong Shanghai Hotels to modernize and refine Quail Lodge.
The Main Lodge building was extensively remodeled with a new registration area, new feature fireplace, new activity room, new breakfast area, and a reconceived bar and restaurant called Quail. Other changes include an updated entry arrival experience; a fully accessible and large lakeside deck; a completely modernized Glass House Meeting Room; and redesigned Villa units to take better advantage of the lodge’s uniquely private setting.
The lushly landscaped property that sits on the fairways of the adjacent Robert Trent Jones golf course provides guests with a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere in the middle of world renowned Carmel Valley. The refreshed cottages and bungalows will welcome visitors back to familiar surroundings and invite enjoyment of the ideal climate found on the Monterey peninsula. AXIS obtained all the necessary approvals and executed the technical portions of this project on an extremely aggressive schedule.
