Arlington Heights Ford is proud to be able to give back to their community with the upcoming Drive One For Your School campaign, and they are currently hosting a Facebook contest to determine which local high school will get to host this fundraising event. From now until March 5, local residents can “Like” Arlington Heights Ford on Facebook in order to vote for either John Hersey High School or Palatine High School. The winning school will host Ford’s Drive One For Your School event, which will help raise money for their extracurricular programs. Voters can stay updated on the current tally for each school as well as any further news by following Arlington Heights on Facebook.
Ford’s Drive One For Your School campaign exists as an exciting and nontraditional way of raising money for local high schools while encouraging area residents to check out the latest Ford models. The school that wins Arlington Heights Ford’s Facebook contest will team up with the dealership to hold a one-day fundraising event centered around test driving Ford vehicles. For every test drive taken during the event, Ford will donate $20 to the school, and Ford will continue to donate up to $6,000!
Drive One For Your School got its start in 2007 and has been a hugely successful program both for U.S. schools and for Ford. Since the program’s inception, roughly 255,000 test drives have been taken at 1,500 fundraising events across 49 states, raising over $5 million for sports and extracurricular activities at the nation’s schools. Ford will also be giving away a 2013 Ford Escape to one participant in the Drive One For Your School campaign, so drivers will have the chance to not only do something great for local schools but also to potentially win a new vehicle.
Arlington Heights Ford is proud to represent Ford and the Drive One For Your School campaign. Area residents have until March 5 to vote for the winning school and determine whether John Hersey High School or Palatine High School will have the honor of hosting this event in the spring. To vote, people should “Like” Arlington Heights Ford on Facebook, where they can also check for updates on how many votes each school has received.
In the meantime, residents can visit Arlington Heights Ford to check out the latest Ford models and decide which vehicle they’d like to test drive for charity. Their friendly and knowledgeable sales staff is standing by to help six days a week.
