Consumer Demand Drives Product Development and Growth for New Company

Armor Concepts

“EZ Armor, the Sidelight Door Reinforcement System and Fix-a-Jamb II are part of a family of products designed to meet the growing need for DIY tools that make homes safer,” said Alan Young, founder and CEO of Armor Concepts.

Armor Concepts LLC, the authority in door security, jamb reinforcement and jamb repair, has introduced three revolutionary new products that are affordable, easy to install, and all aimed at addressing the dangerous and growing problem of door kick-ins. Forecasting to have its best sales year ever, Armor Concepts is focused on meeting customer demand for effective tools that enable homeowners to take charge of their own security.

EZ Armor ™, the Sidelight Door Reinforcement System and Fix-a-Jamb II are part of a family of products designed to meet the growing need for DIY tools that make homes safer,” said Alan Young, founder and CEO of Armor Concepts. “Most people don’t realize that nearly 85 percent of all forced entries into homes are through the front or back door.”

“Every man, woman and child needs and deserves to feel safe in their home,” continued Young. “And our company was born from that very same, basic need. The goal of our company is to continue to provide homeowners with the solutions they need to achieve that safety so they can affordably protect themselves and their families.”

Following is an overview of the new products:

EZ Armor
The EZ Armor door security system is similar to Armor Concepts’ flagship solution, Door Jamb Armor®, but is easier to install. While EZ Armor can be installed without removing door trim, it still reinforces all the weak points on a door, providing the ultimate easy-to-install protection against door kick-ins.

EZ Armor secures the weak points of a door with its L-shaped pieces that reinforce the jamb, hinge and lock areas on a door, addressing all the strike points on a door that break when kicked. It can be installed in about 30 minutes with minimal “DIY” skills, and can also be used to repair existing kick-in damage. And, unlike security bars and screens that cover the door and can be unattractive, the kit is barely visible once installed. The elements can be installed without removing the door’s trim, locks or cutting any nails. The combo kit fits jambs of any thickness and locks with any backset. This makes it a simple addition to both old homes and new. Soon to be available at Lowes stores nationwide, EZ Armor is now available via http://www.armorconcepts.com and can currently be special ordered at any Lowe’s location. At the low price of $69, it’s a cost-effective and easy solution to a growing problem.

Sidelight Door Reinforcement System
The new sidelight door reinforcement system addresses the dangerous problem of break-ins resulting from sidelight door kick-ins. It’s a known problem that doors with sidelights are much more difficult to secure. This is due to the fact that there is no stud to help secure the jamb and hinge shields, which are central components of the original Door Jamb Armor. The well-researched sidelight solution uses multiple pieces to secure the door to the jamb and the jamb to the rough frame of the house. The Sidelight Door Reinforcement System is available for $129 via http://www.armorconcepts.com

Fix-A-Jamb II
A new addition to its core product for door jamb repairs: Fix-A-Jamb II is based on the popular Fix-A-Jamb. The newer version features a modified design that eliminates at least one installation step. The product quickly repairs door jamb damage caused by forced entry and actually strengthens the original door frame. The quality of the product, through engineering design and corrosive-resistant steel, makes it a home improvement item as well as a repair solution.

Whereas the first generation of Fix-A-Jamb pieces are steel sleeves that fit over interior or exterior door jambs, Fix-A-Jamb II pieces are L-shaped and do not wrap the jamb so there is no need for cutting nails, thus shortening the installation time. The new version still effectively covers damage to the doorframe wood, eliminating the need for expensive carpentry and ultimately making the door jamb stronger than its original structure. Pieces are available for interior and exterior doors. Installation takes less than 15 minutes. Any homeowner can install this product, with no cutting or chiseling required. Fix-A-Jamb II sells for $44 and is available via http://www.armorconcepts.com.
