ARMOROC is a fire-resistant structural cement bonded particleboard used in the construction of fire-rated floor, roof, & wall assemblies. Armoroc Cement Board is manufactured with some of the oldest and most abundant raw materials in the world: Portland cement, recycled & mineralized wood fibers and water.

Armoroc CBPB comes in 4'x8' flat sheets and is readily available in a variety of thicknesses ranging from 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1" thick panels. Customs sizes and thicknesses can also be arranged. Armoroc is fabricated and installed using traditional carpentry methods by standard carpentry tools and equipment. Because of it's fire-resistance, Armoroc is a cost effective solution when code does not allow the use of wood products.    

Armoroc Cement-Bonded Particle Board is ideal for use as a structural, nailable roof deck and can be attached direct to trusses or over metal deck, allowing you to achieve the characteristics of cement on a sloped roof. Armoroc accepts asphalt roofing shingles, metal roofing, real slate / clay tiles, synthetic slate tiles, membranes and a variety of other roof finishes. Armoroc is UL Classified as a Class A / 0 flamespread 0 smoke development, which is the best rating you can achieve on the ASTM E84 / UL 723. Additionally Armoroc is listed by UL in both 1 and 1-1/2 hour fire rated roof assemblies (UL P523 / UL P526). Armoroc CBPB can also be used as your solution for fire resistant fascia and soffit boards.    

Armoroc is widely used in floor applications where code does not allow wood, and you prefer to eliminate the wet trade while still using traditional carpentry construction methods. Not only do you eliminate the costs & hassle of furnishing, prepping, pouring, finishing and curing of a poured floor, you eliminate a considerable amount of weight from your assembly. Eliminating this weight will allow you to save on structural framing and even foundation requirements. Saving weight saves material, and that is good for the environment. Armoroc is logistically easier as well in tight city streets where blocking off traffic for pump trucks is expensive and more time consuming than taking delivery from your local dealer’s boom truck. Once Armoroc is unloaded, you can start putting board down and finishing your floors. Armoroc accepts most floor finishes including carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, various coatings, etc. Armoroc has been tested for 1 & 2 hour fire rated floor / ceiling assemblies and only requires a single layer of gypsum board for the ceiling below for both, including a 2-hour assembly. Armoroc also works great in hard to get areas such as decking for mezzanines, mechanical equipment areas, storage areas, catwalks, etc.

Armoroc CBPB by Ameriform is a great substrate for various interior / exterior wall applications. CBPB can be used in SIP panels, partitions, permanent or temporary fencing, furniture or even as forms for poured concrete. CBPB is abuse resistant, and can accept a variety of finishes including Paint, Tile, EIFS, Clapboards, Vinyl, Etc.
