U.S. Army Accessions Command Hosts Soldiers, Milbloggers at BlogWorld & New Media Expo 2009

The USAAC-sponsored Army Strong Bloggers Lounge will be a dedicated space where Soldiers, milbloggers and civilian attendees can meet to discuss milblogging topics of interest and the Army's use of digital and social media to support the recruiting mission.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) October 13, 2009 -- U.S. Army Accessions Command (USAAC) is hosting the "Army Strong Bloggers Lounge" at BlogWorld & New Media Expo 2009 taking place Oct. 15-17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The lounge will be a comfortable space, outfitted with seating and Internet connectivity. Soldiers, milbloggers and civilian attendees can meet to discuss milblogging topics of interest, from technology to education.

USAAC spokespeople will be available for media interviews and to promote the command's use of digital and social media in support of the recruiting mission including USAAC's signature blog - Army Strong Stories (www.ArmyStrongStories.com) - where more than 50 Soldier bloggers representing a diverse range of backgrounds and Army careers share their stories.

BlogWorld & New Media Expo 2009 incorporates a military-focused conference track with panels led by key military bloggers and influencers. This year, BlogWorld offers free Milblog Track registration for Soldiers serving or retired from any branch of the Armed Forces.

About the U.S. Army Accessions Command (USAAC)
The U.S. Army Accessions Command was established by general order on 15 Feb 2002. It is a subordinate command of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and is charged with providing integrated command and control of the recruiting and initial military training for the Army's officer, warrant officer and enlisted forces. Designed to meet the human resource needs of the Army from first handshake to first unit of assignment, USAAC transforms volunteers into Soldiers and leaders of the Army.
